Shellie Speer
Founder/president

Shellie Speer founded ENEX GROUP in 1994, after working for seven years with a reputable fund-raising firm, where she learned every aspect of successful direct mail fund raising. From the beginning, God led Shellie to specialize in fund raising with Christian rescue missions, especially those that struggled with the high costs of larger fund-raising companies. Her commitment to meeting the specific needs of rescue missions remains ENEX GROUP's first priority.

Shellie’s experience is put to use as she develops mailing strategies, segmentation models and analyses for each client. She lives in the Colorado Springs area with her husband, Bill, and their daughter, Anna.

Julie Larocco
Public relations/writer

Julie Larocco joined ENEX GROUP in 1998 after serving 14 years as community relations director at City Union Mission, Kansas City, Missouri. "Born into Mission work," Julie specializes in public relations, special events, newsletter production and staff training in public speaking, volunteer management and media relations for rescue missions. She is a regular trainer at the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions annual national convention and regional conferences. Author of I Never Asked for the Easy Way, Julie is available as a featured speaker for fund-raising events. Julie and her husband, Rob, have three children, Laurel, Andrea and Aubrey, and live in Kansas City, Missouri.

Mindy Sherfy
Production director/writer

Mindy Sherfy joined ENEX GROUP in May 2000, following six years of service with agencies specializing in strategic nonprofit fund raising. Her professional background in direct marketing includes the development and management of database systems, employee supervision and training, and production coordination. As an ENEX GROUP associate, Mindy oversees all facets of the production process and also writes newsletter articles and direct mail copy. A graduate of Kansas State University, Mindy lives with her husband, Mark, and their sons, Joshua and Jordan, in Shawnee, Kansas.
